About
The Dorothy and George Hennings College of Science, Mathematics and Technology (HCSMT) contains all of Kean's programs in the technological and life sciences, including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computational Science, Mathematics, Physics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science. Many programs provide trajectories into clinical health science graduate programs such as Medical, Dental, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.
As of September 2022, the HCSMT has incorporated the strengths and expertise of the New Jersey Center for Science, Technology and Mathematics into a newly established School of Integrative Science and Technology. HCSMT offers undergraduate honors programs in science and an interdisciplinary lens recognizing the convergence of scientific traditions in key fields of study such sustainability.

The College of Science, Mathematics and Technology provides valuable services to the community and creates exciting opportunities for our students' professional and intellectual development. Students learn to take personal, ethical and social responsibility by engaging in river cleanup projects, sustainable agriculture tours, environmental activism and more.
Students learn to demonstrate their skills effectively. A multitude of research possibilities abound, allowing undergraduate students to present their findings at local, national and even international levels.
Regardless of the area of study, our students learn the knowledge and values needed to positively impact the field of science in their community and beyond.
