2024-2025 FAFSA Filing!
Important Notice! Each year students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for financial aid. In the past few years, the form has been available October 1. This notice is to update you that the 2024-2025 FAFSA became available for completion on December 31, 2023. This change in availability was due to the federal government FAFSA Simplification initiative for 2024-2025.
Each student and parent (dependent students only) must have an FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA. In preparation for filing your 2024-2025 FAFSA, if you or your parents/spouse do not yet have an FSA ID, you should begin this process beforehand. In addition, you should check your email address on your 2023-2024 FAFSA to confirm that it is current for the 2024-2025 FAFSA. Please note that an additional change for 2024-2025 is that parents without a Social Security Number can apply for an FSA ID, although student applicants must still have SSNs to receive Federal Student Aid. For more information on FSA ID creation, go to studentaid.gov to create an account. You can also call the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) at 1-800-433-3243 for assistance with FSA ID creation and FAFSA completion.
